B Corporations, B Corps for short, are for-profit companies dedicated to using business as a force for good. B Corps meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability to all of their stakeholders. Unlike traditional corporations, B Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders: customers, workers, communities, and the environment.
Boma provides corporate training programs and events focused on empowering leaders to be more intelligent and intentional about the future. Our corporate leadership programs focus on inclusive and courageous leadership, ethical digital transformation, and planetary well-being.
To ensure that we live up to our own standards, we established Boma Global as a B Corporation with by-laws that are designed to consider the impact of decisions on all stakeholders. This guarantees that Boma Global and our Country Partners remain committed to rigorous standards regarding transparency, environmental performance, social responsibility, accountability and impact.
At Boma, we work to ensure that the future doesn’t happen to us; but rather is created by us. Two years ago we launch a global, cross-sector coalition of partners under a common cause to create a better and more sustainable future. As part of this mission, our goal is to educate leaders on how to find and maintain a sustainable balance between people, planet, profit and purpose. CEO of Boma Global, Lara Stein, states:
The time for talking is over. Simply inspiring people to embrace change is no longer enough. We must act now to solve the world’s most pressing challenges.
Our B Corp status reaffirms and holds Boma and our Country Partners accountable to our commitment to create a more sustainable, ethical and human-centred future. We look forward to using the B Corp assessment to guide our business towards continued improvement, and to educate and empower leaders to attain their own socially and environmentally responsible business ambitions .
